Terms of Use
Effective 29 October 2026
The terms for using HushMouse and buying a licence.
About HushMouse
HushMouse is a menu-bar app for macOS. When you click something with the mouse, it shows the keyboard shortcut you could have pressed instead. HushMouse and this website are operated by Aditya Jain, trading as Portala, a sole proprietorship in India (“we”, “us”). By installing or using HushMouse, or buying a licence, you agree to these terms.
Your licence
When you buy HushMouse, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on the Macs you own or control, for your own use. You keep the licence for as long as you use the app; it does not expire.
You may not sell, rent, share or redistribute the app or your licence, or remove its copyright notices. You may not reverse engineer it except where the law allows it. We keep all rights in HushMouse that these terms do not give you.
The offer
HushMouse is sold for 14.99 USD as a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically. The price includes updates. In some countries checkout may show a set local price instead. Checkout shows the full amount, including any applicable taxes, before you confirm the order.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Refunds and consumer rights
You can ask for a full refund within 14 calendar days of a confirmed purchase. See the Refund policy for the steps. These terms do not remove any consumer rights that cannot legally be waived.
Acceptable use
Use HushMouse lawfully. Do not use it to monitor other people without their knowledge, to break into systems, or to get around the licence. Shortcut packs you import or share must not contain anything you do not have the right to share.
No warranty
We work to keep HushMouse reliable, but it is provided “as is”. A hint can be missing or wrong, and some apps do not expose their shortcuts. To the extent the law allows, we give no warranty beyond what the law requires, including any warranty that the app is fit for a particular purpose or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or time, that comes from using or not being able to use HushMouse. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your licence. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update HushMouse and these terms. If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. A change will not reduce rights attached to a licence you already bought.
